Finally, I’m on the road! I haven’t had a real vacation in a couple of years, so this is a much-needed trip.
This will just be a quick post. Today was nothing but driving. I got on the road late morning and went West towards Colorado. Most of the drive was spent on I-70 through Kansas, which, if you’ve never done that drive before, it’s not exactly much to write about. Saw some cornfields. Passed a few windmills. That’s… yeah, that’s pretty much it.
I ended up getting a campsite on the Rocky Ridge Campground at Eleven Mile State Park in Colorado. The sun was going down by the time I arrived, so I quickly set up my tent and just relaxed for the night after the long drive. I was too tired to do much of anything else, so I cooked up some soup, then crashed out. Still snapped a quick campsite picture before bed, though.
That’s it for now!
